Handcrafted Artistic Jewelry Designer

Every jewel I build tells a story about my personal and professional trajectory. I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on January 19, 1976, since my childhood the jewelry was always my passion. I studied a bachelors degree in International Business at the University of Puerto Rico and simultaneously studied other disciplines related to contemporary art, drawing and design. Studying at the business school gave me the opportunity to get a job where I met an international business vision and diversity of cultures that I use as a source of inspiration for my designs.

In the year 2013 I studied goldsmith at the Escuela de Alta Joyería y Orfebrería de Puerto Rico, specializing in different manufacturing techniques such as design, smelting, precious metal alloy, welding, metal folding, granulation and stone setting. Then I continued my studies with various entities such as the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and the CADJ (Centro de Arte y Diseño en Joyería).

The jewels I make are contemporary pieces of handmade luxury, inspired by personal stories with influences from Latin America, the Caribbean and European cultural art. The jewelry collections elaborate with the highest manufacturing standards using a variety of metals such as copper, bronze, silver and gold, adding decorative elements such as gemstones, pearls and Swarovski crystals.

In January 2017, I founded my jewelry workshop and exhibited my first collection, which was inspired by the jewels used in classical ancient Greece with Caribbean influences. From this merger came contemporary and avant-garde designs which opened doors for me in the jewelry industry. I am thankful for all the opportunities that have been presented to me. Being a metalsmith has been a wonderful experience that I share with all of you through my work.
